Holiday Programs run during school holidays and are perfect for children aged 5-12 and are ideal for Vacation Care groups and groups of friends and family wanting to have a fun, unique and memorable holiday experience!
Kids have the chance to get out in nature and have a hands-on, interactive and fun experience! They have the opportunity to explore, discover and learn about a very unique and special area of nature – and it’s virtually located in their backyard!

Bush Detectives *NEW!
Use your detectives skills and clues in nature to unravel the mystery of who left the mess! Create a sound map and discover what lurks about by using your supersonic hearing. Embark on a treasure hunt and master the challenges for a reward at the end! Top it off with a crafty mission!
Discover Aboriginal Uses of Plants
Did you know that plants could be used as a nappy, a toy or for food? Learn all about the incredible ways Aboriginal people used plants in the area. Go on a discovery adventure and use your detective abilities to search for some of these amazing plants. Test your skills at canoe building! Create your own special bush craft to bring home with you using natural materials.
Hide N Seek
Discover how animals camouflage and ‘hide’ themselves! Create your own camouflage for a bug using natural objects in the environment. After mastering the hiding, let’s see how good you are at seeking! Learn how predators must find their prey. You will go on a ‘hunt’ and see how many objects you can find. Finish the program by creating a camouflaged art project.
Search for all those fun, creepy crawlies! Dip-net to discover water bugs living in a frog pond. Learn how something so small and can tell you so much about the health of the water. How about land critters? Immerse yourself in a mini world to see what it would be like being tiny! Create a creepy crawly art project to take home with you.
*Please note that due to unforeseen weather events and the uniqueness of the site, at times the homes of the water bugs may dry out! In this case, the dip-netting will be replaced with other fun, and appropriately themed ‘buggy’ activities!

Cost – $16.50 per person* – All supervisors and accompanying adults are free.
(*minimum of 20 children or $330 per program) – includes all equipment and supplies
We can take up to two groups at one time, for a total of 60 children/day. *Please note there is a maximum of 30 students per environmental educator/guide – this is to ensure quality and to maximise meaningful interaction and participation of the children.

What to Bring/Wear
We advise that all children come prepared with appropriate gear. This includes: hats, sunscreen, drinking water, lunch (if applicable) appropriate footwear, (enclosed shoes) warm clothes if necessary and wet weather gear.
